Servants of Christ United Methodist Church

Sign and Voice Community Choir

The unique ministry of the Sign and Voice Ensemble  provides an opportunity for the congregation and community to share the message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a hearing and non-hearing community.

The psalmist in the Holy Bible says, “Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise His holy name” (Psalm 103:1).

Making a joyful noise to the Lord with hands, hearts and spirits is what the Sign and Voice Ensemble is all about!  We believe a full worship experience includes praising God together with those who have the ability to hear, those who are deaf, and those who have difficulty hearing.  Our specialty choir is composed of three components:  singing songs with voices, signing songs with hands, and using live music to accompany the singers and signers!

In our Ensemble, the praises of our souls to the Lord come out through our hands in motion as well as through our voices.   We are confident that the Lord understands our love for Him as He listens to our voices, sees our hand motions, and knows that our hearts are filled with praise and thanksgiving as we sign and sing.

Everyone is invited to join us in ministry in any of the three capacities of voice, sign, and live music.  Although each specialty group may rehearse separately, we come together as a united group when each section has mastered the selection that we will sing.

You, your family and others are invited to become members of this very special choir, regardless of where you live, or your age. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us through our Contact and Information Form that appears below.  A member of our ministry will reply to you as soon as possible.
