Servants of Christ United Methodist Church
“Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD!” (Psalm 96:1).

Minister of Music: Howard McKelvy, III

This call from the Holy Bible to serve the Lord is the reason why our Music Ministries are a vital part of Servants of Christ United Methodist Church.  Music Ministry is Bible study, a sermon, through words that are proclaimed in song.

From lifting our voices, to watching signers use hands in motion to convey God’s love to those who are deaf or hearing impaired, we not only learn about the goodness, forgiveness, compassion, understanding and kindness of the Lord—we also teach others about the Lord.   Because we also teach, we sing with our very beings.

“I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.” (Psalm 63:4)

Through music, we as singers and musicians understand that we are able to express our thanks to the Lord, and also ask help for our greatest problems when we realize we cannot solve them by ourselves.  So, why shouldn’t we give thanks by singing and sign singing songs of praise?  Why shouldn’t we continually tell the good news of God’s realness, love and salvation?

Through the Music Ministry, we have the opportunity to convey the great things that God has done for us in the past, still does for us today, and is able to do for the future.  These are the reasons that we are dedicated to this ministry, and lift our voices and hands to the Lord with highest praise.

We welcome you to join us in the Servants of Christ Music Ministry, and prepare to bring messages to the people through music as we sing and sign to honor the Most High God.  Please feel free to fill out the information request form below, and send it to us so that we may contact you about this ministry.  We pray God’s great blessings for you.
